Kidney Donors Appealed To Through Billboards & Bus Wraps

It's clear that there are many different uses of billboards that one can think of. It's easy to correlate these sorts of items to how products and services alike are brought to the masses but this is not all. In fact, I am sure that those who specialize in bus wraps and the like can tell you all about how they can help to spread greater, deeper messages on a personal level. This is why I'd like to cover a story that showcased how a billboard was used in order to address potential kidney donors.

According to an article on CBS 6, a woman by the name of Myrna Bernstein decided to utilize a billboard in order to draw attention to kidney donation. Specifically, the Albany native used said billboard in order to address the public about finding a local donor for herself. This method was utilized with not only a billboard but five CDTA buses, which goes to show just committed Bernstein was. There's a deeper message to be seen with this method, though.

Bernstein conducted this endeavor in order to find a donor but it can also be said that this was done to draw attention to a larger issue. It's important to keep in mind that many people suffer from kidney failure and the like, which means that the need for new kidneys is apparent. As one can imagine, a situation like this demands attention. Whether it's done through bus wraps or not, this medical need should be brought to the masses so that they can become aware of this situation.

When it comes to the ways in which businesses can be promoted in the long term companies the likes of JMR Graphics can offer tremendous amounts of service. Keep in mind that medicine is one of the broadest fields but even then there's a need for awareness. This is exactly what out-of-home marketing can prove effective in, whether it's done through bus wraps or not. Bernstein took a chance with this method and, in my eyes, it's a risk that's more than worth recognizing.

My only hope is that Bernstein's work pays off and that she is able to find a donor who's able to give her the help she needs. It's clear that this is one of the more important issues when regarding health and I am glad to see that methods are being put into effect in order to draw attention to this. Who's to say that other donors cannot be helped as a result? If successful, Bernstein's efforts may actually be able to help others in the long run.
