Dating, business ventures, job posts, home care assistance, personal reasons and so on are examples of situations that call for a real assessment on someone's past. "Background checks" or often termed "criminal history checks" is basically a records check in order to determine whether a person has a criminal past or specifically has been convicted or arrested of a certain offense. In the case of Florida Background Check, it may search through one or all of three sorts of databases.

The criminal histories database search though relies on the degree of check permissible to a requesting party either an agency or an individual. For instance there are statutorily authorized agencies like health care administration bureaus, clerks of court, private correctional facilities, criminal justice agencies and the likes, which may obtain both state and national records reports. There are also qualified groups that can receive both statewide and nationwide search results of individuals dealing with kids, vulnerable adults, or the disabled under the Florida State program (Volunteer and Employees Criminal History System). This level of history inspection searches the state's main archive for State of Florida arrests only and the federal criminal records database at the FBI for the national and other state arrest reports.

While there are also groups that aren't allowed such degree of data results like the general public, businesses, any governmental and non-governmental bodies. They can access merely state criminal records. Not unless, the non-governmental group is given authority under the state VECHS program.
