It continues to astonish me what number of people out there and in business think that all bookkeepers do is enter figures into a P. C. programme which then miraculously spits out a perfect set of accounts.

Bookkeeping, or in a sense good bookkeeping, is more concerned than just pumping numbers into a programme and it's a misguided a real long shot concept that bookkeepers are just glorified information entry operators! Good bookkeepers will be a handy asset to your business. Good bookkeepers understand how to enter figures into a computer programme correctly, or write up a ledger, but more importantly, they know precisely where and how those figures should be entered.
Making an attempt to unscramble a mess that a non-bookkeeper has made is a time consuming thing! It?s something that we at Bookkeeper?s Base do all of the time.
