Cryogenic valves are widely used is different applications like propane, liquefied gases, butane, pharmaceuticals, semiconductors, LNG, biotechnology, research and technology and other temperature services. This is being defined as below the one hundred fifty degrees Fahrenheit. Elements like oxygen, methane, nitrogen, helium, hydrogen, argon and ethylene are being covered by cryogenic services. These types offer the best sealing performance that can last long periods of time. The problem however is its susceptibility to any moisture and are not good for situations where the flow rate is equal.

Cryogenic procedures are not substitute for treatments like heat. However, it becomes an extension of tempering, heating and quenching cycles. When the product is already quenched, the final procedure is already ambient. For all alloys does not have the same chemical components, the process will vary according to the products chemicals composition, particular service application and thermal history.

In the past, companies used hydrogen and helium liquefiers as well as other coolers are an important technology on different industries. Some of it is being used on plasma physics and other research facilities all over the countries. Space programs and other infrastructures also use the valves that can contain oxygen, nitrogen, helium and hydrogen.

The gate valve has a specialized wedge type gate for the obutrator that can swing around on parallel to the body seat and mating. Somewhat similar and looks like the ball kind. Even though they offer a good flow characteristic, it is being hampered with wear and tear overtime.
