Just like the Bible recommends, Christians are advised to attend fellowships to renew their faith in God. When the activities of the fellowship are based on God's word, everybody is edified and prepared for Heaven. Residents of Miamisburg and its environs are encouraged to attend the Miamisburg Christian church where God can be practically felt. Apart from having a visionary as a pastor, they also have small groups for effective organization. These groups include the drama, choir, Bible study, welfare, follow up and evangelism.
The choir unit is a place where people who want to serve the Lord with their voice meet together. Every week, they rehearse songs to render on the next Sunday or any other major gathering. The choir is well equipped with modern musical instruments and anyone who is gifted is welcome. Moreover, they also welcome first timers who have never sung before but have the urge to serve God with singing.
Dramas are organized frequently by the drama wing. On every display, the congregation always rededicates their lives to God. Before each drama is presented, the members hold hands together for a revelation of what to present. Sometimes, the preacher has little work to do after the drama's ministration.
The prayer wing is a place where matters are presented before God. Members are encouraged to present their requests to God by writing them to the prayer department. It appears God answers the prayers offered by this group because almost everyone comes with testimonies anytime there is a meeting
To prevent people from going to hell and increase the number of people who should qualify for Heaven, the evangelism team goes from house to house preaching the gospel. Owing to their role in the church, they are sometimes charged with the responsibility of increasing the church number. They also do this by organizing crusades.
The follow up team works together with the evangelism group. The evangelism group informs the follow up unit about the people they meet during their outreaches so that they can plan strategies on how to make them fully committed to Christ and the fellowship. By so doing, they obey Christ's injunction to cater for the young sheep.
It is known that lack of basic needs such as food and shelter can make even the most committed Christian to denounce the faith. This is the essence of planting the welfare unit. This unit is charged with the task of identifying brethren with genuine needs and who have no means of providing them. Depending on the need, the members may take care of it individually or report the matter to a higher authority, especially if it involves huge financial contribution. Their actions depict love, which is a necessary ingredient for the fellowship to increase.
The Bible study unit of the church cannot be neglected amongst the congregation. They are in charge of developing Bible study outlines as well as follow up guides for the new converts. People in this group must have personal relationship with God and the ability to hear from Him. They must be filled with the Holy Spirit who gives one the ability to interpret what is written in the scriptures.
