Staying Fit In College

By Franklin Skribbit

When it comes to financing your education, scholarships can be your bread and butter. There is no reason that any student should go without one. While this is true, there are millions of students that try and do it all themselves without any help at all. Much of this is due to the fact that they either fail at writing an effective scholarship essay or are too daunted by the task, so they don't even try. Whatever boat you may be in, here are some tips to help you write in a way that brings in money. Understand your Audience

One thing that often falls by the wayside in the pursuit of a college education is physical activity. Often as education and parties pile up, the physical needs of students are ignored as they try to spend their time keeping up with the many other demands of their lives.

Don't Rush It

One thing you can do to help incorporate physical activity into your life is to find a class on campus that can keep you active and help you to complete the necessary credits for graduation. Finding an exercise class is a great way to make friends and be active without sacrificing the social or educational aspects of your life.

Look at your essay as an opportunity to personally introduce yourself. There are some obvious ways that you can make mistakes when you introduce yourself. Make sure that you use your natural and real voice (as long as it is friendly and personable). People will feel genuine writing and will be able to feel the emotions you are trying to evoke.

Edit, Edit, and Reedit

Participating in intramural sports on campus is another great way to make friends and stay active in college. These programs are often quite inexpensive, and a lot of fun. Finding the right sport for your interests and your body will help you to find a place to fit in on campus and a way to stay active.

When you are applying to college in San Marcos, don't make the mistake of not applying for scholarships. As long as you have put in your best effort, there is no reason that the billions of dollars available in the USA shouldn't be something you can tap into.

As you strive to be the best student you can be, do not forget to find balance in your life. If you neglect one part of your personality, it will come to haunt you later, so make time for your educational, social, and physical self, and enjoy your college experience.
