Diversity Training Baltimore Md And Beyond

When it comes equal rights, one area in which the issue is currently being addressed head on is that of the East Coast. For, while there has been a great deal of progress when it comes to acceptance, inclusion and tolerance of difference, there is still a long way to go. As such, Diversity training baltimore md and other areas up and down the eastern seaboard is an ongoing process.

In Baltimore, as in other areas, there are always issues when it comes to acceptance, inclusion and equity among students and others. For, different individuals were brought up with differing family values and often live according to the ideologies and rules associated with nuclear family models. While this is the case, there are others whom were brought up in non-traditional or more accepting and tolerant households.

When it comes to BIG, the first place the organization wants to focus on becoming more accepting, inclusive and tolerance is within the group. For, with so many different diverse ideologies and perspectives, the group grows on a continual basis, especially when adding new members. As a result, by training students to create art which is accessible, open to all, original and reflective of Baltimore, audiences can also become more aware of the beauty and necessity for diversity whether at home, at school, at work or around the world.

In most cases, those in attendance are members of underserved neighborhoods and aspiring actors and comedians. As such, the university is open to all whom are interested in attending. During rehearsals, the ensemble works to create skits which are entertaining, educational and informative. After which, the skits are presented free of charge at the BIG theater and different locations around the city.

For, the primary goal of the group is to create work which is inclusive of all areas of society. Unlike traditional comedy in which minorities are often attacked, BIG strives to include the LGBTQ+ community, military members, mentally and physically challenged individuals, senior citizens, veterans and people of color in positive rather than negative connotations during performances. As such, the group aims to train actors and comedians to create art which is more appropriate and respectful while at the university, attending workshops and later in life.

There are three different areas and programs provided by the organization. For example, increasing access to performances, programs and scholarships in Baltimore is one aspect. In this case, the group works to facilitate and communicate with performers and students to raise awareness of diversity, equity, inclusion and empathy.

Alliance building is the second of the three programs. In this aspect, the group works to build bridges between colleges, corporations and community organizations to create better communication and understanding of difference between these groups. Whereas, the third programming area is that of talent cultivation. In this aspect, the group supports mentorship and opportunities to perform in the classroom while providing a conservatory for exceptional performance and talent opportunities.

Ultimately, the goal of all these programs, performance art, performances and workshops provided by the group is to provide knowledge, insight and information related to equal rights. In doing so, students and community members can learn more about acceptance, inclusion and tolerance. After which, it is hoped these individuals will also discover the beauty of diversity while living and working with an overall better sense of unity.
