The third and last stage includes remains processing. This includes allowing cooling of remains after incineration. This may take not more than three-quarters of an hour. The remains are collected and put on a table. Metallic debris like surgical pins, screws, nails and joint nuts like titanium ones are separated from the other remains using a magnet.

The amount of time of carrying out the complete process may vary due to certain factors. These include the size and the weight of the corpse intended to be cremated. Also, it is expected that rigid muscular bodies will burn at a slower rate than bodies that are fatty. The ashes are then given to the family.

Body composition also affects time spent. For instance, muscular bodies will spend more time than fatty bodies. Fats burn easily and readily. The temperatures in the chamber, the effectiveness of the equipment, casket material are also factors that affect process time.
