There is also the belief that everyone is coacheable which is not entirely true as there are people who are more coachable than others. Other people think that the coaches will influence you on the way you run your business. This is not always the position as their only responsibility is offering guidance on how you can utilize your ideas to run the business. They usually offer perspectives and insights that can help in salvaging certain existing situations for your business but it is actually up to you to follow them or disregard them.

It is a common belief amongst people that executive coaching is viewed as a management fad that you could be thinking it could run out of fashion. This is not usually true as this concept has been there for over 20 years although in different guises. Recently the popularity and demand is on the increase as businesses are trying to find ways of beating the harsh economic times.

The concept is also viewed as an expensive affair by many people including yourself. However, this is not the position as it directly assists your organization by ensuring that your executives are guided on what they apply in their learning. It ought to be viewed as an investment and not as a cost.
