Want A Position As A Mermaid?

The ocean is filled with many interesting creatures. Some of the creatures are genuine some are from ancient myth. Many a tale of Neptune, Davy Jones Locker and mermaids are told over a pint of ale.

A mermaid is a half fish, half human and a beautiful sea creature. The victims are lured below the water by her amazing beauty. To philosophers she was a perfect mixture of the sea and earth.She represents what the Greeks understood as a mystery of the sea. What happened to those sailors who fell overboard?

People do perform as mermaids, despite it been all Greek mythology. These women with tails are still beautiful.

How do you go about getting a job as a mermaid?

One of the main requirements is your love of water. You're swimming with a tail instead of two feet or swim fins so the action is distinctly different. First off you work as a model to learn about how to present yourself. Most of your time won't be spent swimming on the ocean. As you will be entertaining others a lot of the time, how you create a mystic presence, will be important. A good understanding of camera angles and how a camera works is vital.

Learn about the ocean. There are people who spend a lot of time in the water, talk to divers and others. Get a feel for how they approach the ocean. Make a portfolio by asking some underwater photographers to take some shots. In order to impress employers you will need a good portfolio.

Learn how to perform by doing the likes of kid's parties. By not being too critical of you the kids can allow you get the performance just right.

You can either make or create your own mermaid tail.

One person who was a model and became a mermaid is Hannah Frasier. A tail that matches your body, created by you, is better than a copy. You want it to feel natural. It is better to have a certain shape so as to glide powerfully through the water. You should be creative and make it your own, says Hannah.

By following these steps, one day it may be you in that picture swimming with the whale or getting applause from a thrilled audience at a famous water park somewhere in the world.
