The process of marketing starts with market research, where marketing professional learn the needs of customers and study it, and end when product is sold.

The activities in between include production, packing, advertising, transportation and selling. Modern approach about what is marketing states that marketing does not end when the product is sold, but after selling, customer services and support is also an important factor in marketing.

In fact, a person, who is strategic and motivated, may turn this into a regular source of income over time. In the offset of this moneymaking opportunity, only a small amount of investment is required to start. This only means that they can choose the number of hours to spend on a certain strategy. These days, leisure time of people may also be utilized to be in part to advertising a service of product. The primary possible customers for networking firms are the friends and families of the members of their team.

* Storage: There must be a facility to store products until they are required. Especially food products like fruits and vegetables.

* Transportation: There must be a facility of transportation to move the products or services to the nearest possible place where consumers can easily buy them. This is a very important function in marketing process.

Successful entrepreneurs use their public relations to apply these promotional activities. Your business is all about your clients because they decide that your business will boom or bust.

* Market information: Information from around the globe about market situations, political conditions, weather and pricing affect the marketing process. Marketers can use telecommunication resources to get this information.

There are four utilities of the marketing process. * Form utility: A product must be processed into a form according to the consumer demands e.g. if a consumer want some French fries and is provided by raw potatoes, this isn't a good approach at all. Similarly wheat is processed into flour and flour is processed into bread. * Place utility: The products you produce must be available to the consumers at the nearest possible location where they can buy them easily. Consumers don't like to travel a too long distance just to buy goods or services. * Possession utility: It involves ownership of the products or services. When a user buy some product or service, he/she must have authority on it under certain guidelines e.g. if someone buys a software application, he/she must have full authority on it. *

Time utility: It states that the product must be available on the right place at the right time when needed by the consumer.
