Before Buying Parti Colored Yorkie Puppies For Sale

By Timothy Hall

Many will attest that it is a great and incomparable experience if you are a pet owner. You probably want to give it a try by choosing a dog over a cat and have been actively looking at parti colored yorkie puppies for sale adverts and signs. Do finish off reading this article first before you do make that final commitment.

There is absolutely no difference between a regular Yorkshire terrier, or yorkie when compared to a parti colored yorkie except for one thing. The latter has an extra color of white with blue and tan combinations, while the traditional one only has the blue and tan combinations.

The parti colored breed was first discovered in the 1980s, when its breeder did not want to get rid of it despite many suggestions, as it was considered a sort of aberration. However, this colored breed has surfaced since then and just recently been accepted as a regular Yorkie, to the happiness of course of parti colored yorkie owners.

The dog has fur which is soft and fine, much like human hair, as it is contained in a single layer coat only. A single layer coat means it will not shed at all, or very minimal at the least. The fur is prone to tangles and matting however and so regular brushing out, sometimes daily, is needed once it gains in length.

It has a natural craving for attention and participation and plenty of activity. These factors when taken together make for a good combination for it to be trained for trick and agility competitions if one so wished. In the house, they are very adaptable to any environment and get along with the people or animals it may live with, as long as it is treated as the boss at all times.

Despite its size, the breed is very active and will be quite rambunctious. Thus to maintain its energy levels it should be fed at least three to four times a day in small portions. It must also be given access to plenty of water so as to prevent dehydration from occurring. Nutrition and diet maintenance is a key factor in taking care of this particular dog breed.

In the event that you begin looking for a breeder to source your puppy or puppies from, do a bit of background detective work at first. Visit local forums on the net and ask around the breeding community. Ask for a breeder that is very ethical and one that goes after the improvement of the breed rather than commercial profit. You will also need to ask for an honest one also as you do not want to deal with any unscrupulous traders.

Being a good dog or pet owner requires a lot of responsibility and commitment. Before taking in any breed, do practice due diligence in learning all you can about the breed so as to make yourself the best owner you can be for yourself and for your future pet. Also take into consideration other factors that you may consider important apart from what is covered here.
